Monster Pizza

Overview

Walking into Monster Pizza for the first time felt like stepping into a classic neighborhood diner that somehow knew exactly what kind of pizza you were craving before you ordered. I stopped by after a long workday in Deltona, and the place was buzzing with families, delivery drivers, and regulars who clearly knew the menu by heart. Located at 1200 Deltona Blvd #5, Deltona, FL 32725, United States, it’s the kind of spot people recommend when they say you want something filling, affordable, and made with care.

What stood out immediately was how the staff handled the flow of orders. I watched dough being stretched by hand, not rushed, while sauces were ladled evenly instead of dumped on. That matters more than most people realize. According to research from food science departments at universities like Cornell, even sauce distribution directly affects perceived flavor balance. You can taste that difference here, especially on their larger pies where consistency really shows.

The menu leans heavily into comfort food, but it’s not lazy comfort food. Alongside classic cheese and pepperoni, there are loaded specialty pizzas with layered toppings, baked until the crust stays crisp underneath but still folds without cracking. I ordered a slice that the cashier described as their most popular choice, and she wasn’t exaggerating. The cheese pull alone explained why local reviews keep mentioning bold flavors and generous portions. One customer at the next table joked that it was dangerously easy to overorder, which felt accurate once the food arrived.

Beyond pizza, the menu includes wings, subs, and diner-style sides that clearly aren’t afterthoughts. I’ve eaten wings all over Florida, and these held up surprisingly well. They were cooked evenly, with sauce that stuck instead of sliding off, a detail chefs often point out as a sign of proper frying temperature. The National Restaurant Association has published data showing that consistency is one of the top factors driving repeat visits, and you can see that principle in action here.

Reviews online often mention value, and that’s not just about price. It’s about leaving full and satisfied without feeling like corners were cut. Portion sizes here reflect that old-school diner mindset where generosity builds loyalty. I spoke briefly with a delivery driver waiting for an order, who said this location stays busy most nights because people trust what they’re getting. That kind of word-of-mouth doesn’t happen unless a restaurant earns it over time.

There’s also something to be said for how approachable the place feels. No pretension, no complicated ordering process, just clear options and staff who don’t rush you. That matters, especially in a local spot where regulars expect to be recognized. Studies in hospitality management journals consistently show that perceived friendliness can influence dining satisfaction as much as food quality, and Monster Pizza seems to understand that balance well.

If there’s a limitation, it’s that peak hours can mean a short wait, especially for dine-in. Still, watching the kitchen work through orders efficiently made the wait feel justified rather than frustrating. The process is visible, transparent, and reassuring, which builds trust without anyone having to explain it.

One phrase I overheard summed it up perfectly: this place never disappoints. That sentiment echoed through multiple conversations and reviews I read later. Whether you’re grabbing a quick slice, feeding a group, or ordering delivery after a long day, Monster Pizza fits into daily life in Deltona the way a good local diner should-reliable, flavorful, and unpretentious, with a menu that keeps people coming back without trying too hard.

I would give this spot a 4.5 stars only because they were out of a few little things that we wanted to order, but it isn’t a big deal. This is a nice lil spot with decent vegan options which is getting hard to come by. Will be visiting again!! :)

Great selection of vegan pizzas. Picked up the Vegan Mediterranean. I love this place! Autumn is our favorite pizza artist! Every pie she makes is perfection. We recently tried the Vegan Garlic knots ....AMAZING!! (some did not make it in the photo they took a detour to our tummies) If you haven't stop by to support this local business add it to your to do list. They even offer a huge 20 inch pizza.

Now let me tell you readers something .. now I usually don’t leave reviews for anything truly . But I pass this place on the way to work every day for the last few months . I kept telling myself I’ll try it . Finally today I did. And I am truly mad with myself that I hadn’t tried this place sooner. The younger girl Who took my order over the phone was kind and patient with me , the store itself you can’t sit and eat in but it’s very very very clean! I was indecisive on what to order because I wanted to try a little bit of everything lol. I just did the Philly cheesteak plus a $15.99 pizza deal that came with a large pizza and garlic knots ! And then they have great affordable pizza deals (you know most pizza places these days charge an arm and a leg just for one pizza) ! The Philly cheesteak? Oh my goodness . Only thing I’m missing and forgot to ask for was mayo but that’s preference obviously . The sub was so freaking big one half of it was the size of one sub alone . I will be coming back weekly ! The pizza was bomb.com ! Just wow . I hope this place sticks around for a while :) the dough they use to Make the sandwiches and pizza are just like no other ! I’m super happy with my food as you can tell lol !

My only gripe is there seems to be an inconsistency with both the canollies and the garlic knots. While they usually are good sometimes the canollies aren't filled and the garlic knots are missing garlic. Tonight however both were excellent and the knots were to die for. It may be different folks preparing or something but just wanted you to know. We've been coming to you guys for years so that should tell you something.

Wonderful service, a very pleasant person answered the phone. They took my order promptly, estimated time for delivery was an hour however delivered in 45 minutes. The only thing that was a problem with this place was the salad I caught a lot of distinct lettuce in the Greek salad day. How are not the most delicious meal I've ever treated myself two months. I will be ordering again. Thank you master pizza for delivering a great order again.
